Joe Vogel’s family immigrated to the United States from Uruguay when he was just three-years-old, and they found a home in Rockville. Here Joe found a community he loved, and a mission to give back to those who gave him so much. The fight for progress isn’t new to Joe – he’s never stopped working for others. He answered a call to public service volunteering with local nonprofit organizations, serving as an aide to Secretary Hillary Clinton and Senator Cory Booker, supporting movements for reproductive health rights and gun violence prevention, starting a non-profit to support children of essential workers during the COVID-19 pandemic. Now he’s running for the House of Delegates to do what he’s done his whole life – learn from his neighbors in Gaithersburg and Rockville and serve them in Annapolis.
