Frederick County Council President Brad Young Endorses Joe Vogel for Congress

Today, Frederick County Council President Brad Young endorsed Joe Vogel in the race for Maryland's 6th Congressional District. As an At-Large Councilmember, Brad Young represents all nearly 280,000 residents of Frederick County. President Young has been a champion for K-12 education, and higher education. He spent 12 years on the Board of Frederick County Public Schools, and has devoted his life to enhancing our community colleges.

"Over the past year, I have seen Joe’s passion, enthusiasm, and energy for representing the 6th district and, more importantly, for representing Frederick County" said County Council President Brad Young.

"I love Frederick County, and my number one qualifier in this decision was deciding who would represent us best and be there for us. I know Joe will be a great Congressman for Frederick County.

"Joe’s positions on education, healthcare, community safety, reproductive freedom, the environment, ending gun violence, support for the LGBTQ+ community, housing, infrastructure, and many others are in line with my positions and, more importantly, with the districts. I proudly endorse Joe and hope he is our next Congressman!"

“I know how beloved Brad Young is in Frederick County,” said Delegate Joe Vogel. “There is not a single person in Frederick County who hasn’t been lifted up in some way by his service. Whether in his capacity on the County Council, on the Board of Education, as an educator, a nonprofit board member, or a mentor — he embodies the best of what a public servant should be. I am grateful for all I have learned from Brad, and am thrilled to have his support.”
